About the School

The Meadowbrook Waldorf School was formed in 1979 through the efforts of a group of dedicated parents and teachers committed to bringing Waldorf education to their children and community.

For more than 25 years, the school has given children a Waldorf education where each student’s unfolding development is cultivated, where children mature into responsible, caring members of society, where creativity and love of learning are fostered, and respect for all people and for the natural world are instilled. The school has sent forth creative and clear thinking graduates possessing a wide range of abilities and strong values – young people able to make a positive and profound impact upon our world.

Through the hard work and generosity of its active community of parents and friends, the school has built and just moved into a permanent campus on 28 acres of woods, streams, magical glades and enticing hills on Route 138 in Richmond, 2 miles east of I-95 exit 3A. The school is looking forward to filling its larger grade school and expanding programs. See the slide show at the right for images of our new home.
